john Bill comes to the sessions

saturday and sunday Bill was finally Here for some Recording. saturday Daren Drummed for a few pieces-- a happy-Blues, a bluesy, kind-of Stonesy number based on an Eric demo (even tho Eric Wasn't Here), and something we're calling 'lock-step' for now, which is another one of my Anti-Song-form pieces. then Bill recorded some drum tracks. we had to Re-work the kit and the Seat a bit, as his Legs are so short compared to Darens, but we got some Fun-Bits. at one point Greg suggested maybe Bill coul… Continue

john BILL recording sessions

things have finally gotten under way... we've had 2 sessions recording drums. the first was just Daren and me, doing songs the band have been playing for a while. we got the main section (7-8 minutes) of ALL MY BONES, along with CHOO CHOO TRAIN, and THE RED BIRDS. on BONES we used a click-track, as it is such a long piece. then for the second, Greg and Eric were here to help work out some of the parts on new songs, in these genres: electric blues, psychobilly, boogie-woogie. there was also a c… Continue
